In contrast to other robovacs we've tested, the i3+ EVO comes with self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. This helps reduce the need for hands-on maintenance and keeps the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still needs to be manually empty after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin holds 2.4L of trash that is enough to last five or four cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.
The i3+ EVO, just like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also allows you to navigate through neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple. The i7 can also utilize its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO is not able to do this.
While the i3+ EVO is more effective in removing debris on surfaces than the other robovacs that we tested however, it's not the most effective when it comes to cleaning edges and corners.
